How to choose a WhatsApp Business API provider: BSPs, Tech Providers and platforms

Twilio, 360dialog, Wati, Zoho and Tech Providers sell WhatsApp Business API access in different ways. What each type does, and what to ask before you pick one.

Who can sell you WhatsApp Business API access

Meta does not sell the WhatsApp Business API to most businesses on its own. You reach it through a Meta partner. Business Solution Providers, or BSPs, which Meta now calls Solution Partners, sell access and often handle billing for you. Tech Providers build software on the API and connect your own account to it. You can also build on Meta's Cloud API yourself if you have developers. Every WhatsApp Business API provider you meet is one of these types, even when the website does not say so.

Developer platforms, like Twilio

A developer platform such as Twilio gives you the WhatsApp Business API as building blocks. Your team writes the code that sends messages, handles replies and stores conversations. It suits a business that wants WhatsApp inside its own product and has engineers to build it. Twilio bills you for Meta's message charges and adds its own per-message fee on top, so compare the total, not just Meta's rate.

BSPs and messaging tools, like 360dialog or Wati

Some BSPs, such as 360dialog, focus on API access for businesses and software makers. Others, such as Wati, sell a ready-made WhatsApp Business API platform with a shared inbox, broadcasts and chatbots. These tools usually charge a monthly subscription, and some add a markup to Meta's message rates. They fit a business that wants WhatsApp tools without writing code, but check who owns the account and the number.

CRMs and help desks, like Zoho or Zendesk

CRMs and help desks such as Zoho and Zendesk offer WhatsApp as one channel among many. Messages arrive next to email and chat, inside the tool your team already uses. This is a good fit when your support or sales process already lives in that CRM. It is less of a fit for a Shopify store that mainly needs order updates tied to Shopify events.

Tech Providers, like DeepSoll

A Tech Provider connects software to a WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) that you own. Meta bills you directly for messages, so there is no reseller between you and Meta. DeepSoll is a verified Meta Tech Provider, and Dejor is its WhatsApp Business API software for Shopify. It sends order updates, cart recovery and broadcasts, and runs an AI chatbot, from your own account and number.

Questions to ask any WhatsApp Business API service provider

Who owns the WhatsApp Business Account and the number, and can you leave with both? Who bills Meta's message charges, and is there a markup? Can you keep the WhatsApp Business app on the same number with coexistence? Will you see your quality rating and template status? What does WhatsApp Business API support cover, and when does the team reply? Which Cloud API features do they support? Meta added business calling in July 2025 and groups in October 2025, and not every provider supports them. Dejor does not; it sends one-to-one messages.

Choosing a WhatsApp Business API service provider in India

Indian stores have the most choice and the most risk. Many tools sold as a WhatsApp Business API provider in India are official partners, but some automate WhatsApp Web or rent you a number that was never yours, and both can get the number banned. Ask to see the WhatsApp Business Account in your own Meta Business Suite. Meta publishes rates in INR, and India has its own rate, so compare quotes on that basis. For COD stores, check that order confirmation and address checks are built in, not extra.
